Ng, Gerard

Gerard has a broad financial service practice. He covers general bank and syndicated lending, acquisition financing, structured finance, capital market transactions, derivatives, and market regulations. Before assuming his current role, he was a Partner at an international law firm. Gerard is also an appointed Notary Public in Singapore.

His professional journey includes a stint as an in-house counsel within a financial institution, gaining valuable insights into the financial services industry. During his tenure, he established and expanded the legal department to facilitate the growth of regional investment banking businesses. Additionally, Gerard oversaw regulatory compliance and governance issues while providing strategic guidance to the board of directors and senior management on various business issues.

Beneath his polished demeanour, Gerard is well known in the office for his unabashed love for Coldplay. From “Viva La Vida” to “Adventure of a Lifetime,” he knows most lyrics by heart and often hums a Coldplay tune while pouring over legal documents.
